Under the supervision of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Computational Science and Engineering Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serdar Çelebi, a free face-to-face, applied workshop "Introduction to OpenFOAM®" was held for students and academy members on Friday, December 1, 2023. During the training program, a comprehensive overview of OpenFOAM® software, a powerful computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation tool, was provided. The first part of the workshop covered OpenFOAM® installation, software information and directory structure, geometry and computational grids, solvers, boundary conditions, and utilities. In the second part, participants were able to run sample case simulations at National Center of High Performance Computing (UHeM) and visualize the results using ParaView® software.
